And you should run it from the Recovery Console. error as you guys, although all the other tests, including a full surface scan, passed.

Is there a chance that will make the problem worse?The command is chkdsk /r (drop the /f switch). I plan on using the HD for now until i can get a replacement or it stops working altogether.
