I tried that, no luck.Computer is a new HP AMD quadcore.Printer is a 6500A Plus E710n, also brand new.Scanning will not work. Right around this time the two lines message appears on the XP machine. If this happens you either get a scan communication error or a 'scan to computer has been deactivated' error.
